We are expanding and an opportunity has arisen for a PQE 3+ years lawyer to join La’au Lawyers, the Vanuatu member firm of Pacific Legal Network, in Port Vila. This position would suit a motivated individual who enjoys direct client contact and is looking to advance their career by working alongside a talented local Principal as well as legal practitioners across the Pacific.

This role will provide you with a wide variety of work in Vanuatu and across the Pacific region and will include exposure to a range of areas of law, including banking and finance, regulatory and compliance, and commercial and corporate law. You’ll also have the chance to work on mergers and acquisitions, general transactions, restructuring, and workouts, providing an interesting career path in local and international context. 

 

ABOUT YOU

 

• Three+ years PQE

• Demonstrated experience working across a range of areas in corporate and commercial law or interest in transitioning to commercial law

• A desire to expand on existing work experience in Vanuatu 

• A strategic self-starter who is confident with business development either in person or across the various PLN social media platforms

• A team player willing to learn and take direction and can also work autonomously as required

• Have excellent communication skills

• Be committed to excellence in client service

 

The successful applicant must be already admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Vanuatu and  be entitled to live and work in Vanuatu.
